There are many different ways to attract people to your event. Knowing and understanding your target audience is the most important thing. Once you’ve got this right, you will be prepared very well to fill your event. Here are 5 ways to promote your event.

Attract. Your clients.

Don’t just promote your event. Promote the location!

Often it is the location what people buy. Because (earlier we talked about Event Marketing Psychology) our senses decide whether we fight, flight, freeze or stay and enjoy. Choose an attractive location that engages all senses of your clients – in a positive way of course! And promote it.

Update social media accounts consistently

Create your event on your own social media account. And keep it exciting. Let your audience know about your organisation process, the location decoration progress, the errands, the preparations,… Simply keep your audience updated to make each of them being part of the event already.

Use social media for targeted promotion

On social media platforms like facebook and LinkedIn, you can join diverse groups based on different industries and interests. Do it. And promote your event in these groups. Understand your target, find them, inform them.

Promote the “exciting stuff”

Your event will be remarkable. People will want to talk about it – before, during and after. You have prepared a photo booth box, a make-a-cocktail-yourself bar or a workshop table with DIY crafts. Depending on your goal and type of the event, you want to share the exciting and fun stuff that people can look forward to.

Get in touch with industry organisations to help promote

Identify your industry sales team. Find professional organisations in your industry who are more than happy to help you promote your event. Again – depending on type and goal of your event – this might be a local magazine, a venue manager of a shopping mall or a local event coordinator,…

Unleash your strategic thinking!
